We are a network committed to creative and critical doings. What we do together (the art we make, study, and experience) follows our collective desire to grow, witness, and know ourselves in relation to the bodies and stories that emerge among us. We know that conceptions of art and study are constantly woven into our web of relations. We are curious about their tellings, tides, and turns. We begin with listening and looking. We begin with asking questions. Our work together does not strive at achieving indestructible utopias, harmonies, linear progress, or definitive prescriptions. Instead our commitment to asking questions upends the chronology of beginning and end — a chronology that the schools we teach and study in seems to wrongfully uphold and tries to acknowledge what is happening when we are perceived to be out of tune. We believe to know each other’s truths we must be willing to move in all directions and reorient ourselves to what we consider familiar and known. If play, process, resonance, and repetition help us remember what is important to us, we think they might also help us transform the systems and structures that are meant to support us. Our nonsense need not make sense as long as we are moved to sustain the brilliance of our web — our web of doing, our web of working.
